Atlantic Balloon Fiesta
The Atlantic Balloon Fiesta lights up Sussex, New Brunswick, every year the weekend after Labour Day, transforming Princess Louise Park into a vibrant celebration of colour and community. With around 30 hot air balloons ascending at dawn and dusk, this free, family-friendly event features twice-daily flights, a lively indoor craft market, outdoor vendor stalls, amusement rides, live music on the bandstand, and even a Sunday car show & shine. Spread over four days (Thursday to Sunday), the Fiesta offers balloon rides (weather permitting), mouth-watering eats, kid-friendly attractions, and captivating balloon glows under the evening sky . It’s Atlantic Canada’s most colourful festival—a warm, welcoming weekend filled with soaring balloons and small-town charm.

Jurassic World / Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning
The Sussex Drive‑In, located at 133 Aiton Road just outside Sussex, NB, is a beloved summertime tradition dating back to 1967. Featuring a towering 24 m (80 ft) screen and room for over 300 vehicles—with capacity stretching to around 400at peak nights—it’s one of only three remaining drive‑in theatres in New Brunswick. Every weekend from spring through October, visitors can enjoy first-run double-feature films (typically starting at dusk, with gates opening around 7 pm) in the comfort of their cars, tuning in via FM radio.
